Yesterday we decided to end the 22 year run of Lilac Breeze Sangha. There is symbolism here. Last February, Lynne Shivers, the founder of Lilac Breeze, died.
Our last sangha meeting will be on May 23, 2 weeks less 1 day from now. It will be a celebration day. Already I smile at the memories of many who have walked the courtyard with us.
Lilac Breeze was a meditation sangha that practiced in the Plum Village tradition of Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh.
We met every other Saturday from 2-4:30pm at the Friends Center, 15th and Cherry Streets, Philadelphia, practicing mindfulness through sitting, walking, and a closing tea ceremony.
